Groove Rules: How We Write

These are the rules we write by. They exist so you can trust what you read here, and so you know exactly how an article on Zinga Fitness is made.

1. Every body is welcome

We write for all sizes, ages, fitness levels and abilities. We talk about energy, enjoyment, fitness and health, not about shrinking, “fixing” or comparing bodies. Every routine we describe comes with an easier or lower-impact option.

2. Nothing invented

We do not make up studies, statistics, calorie counts, quotes, experts, credentials or reader success stories. When we describe what research suggests, we do it in honest, general terms, and we say clearly when the evidence is limited or mixed. The only specific health numbers we use are widely published public recommendations, such as the general guidance from public health bodies on weekly minutes of moderate or vigorous activity.

3. How an article is made

  1. Topic and brief. The Zinga Rhythm Desk chooses a topic based on questions real beginners and home exercisers tend to have.
  2. AI-assisted draft. A first draft is written with the help of an AI language model, following the rules on this page.
  3. Separate fact-check pass. The draft goes through a dedicated review step that looks for invented numbers or sources, overclaims, unsafe advice, body-shaming language and banned phrasing, and corrects or removes them.
  4. Editor review. A member of the team reads the article, checks the advice against widely accepted public guidance and common sense safety, and decides whether it is ready to publish.

We tell you this because we think you should know. AI helps us write; it does not decide what is true.

4. Safety comes first

Health-related articles end with a section on when to check in with a doctor or physio. We do not diagnose, promise cures or tell anyone to push through pain.

5. No brands, no sales

We do not sell classes or products, accept sponsored posts, or use affiliate links. We avoid trademarked program names and use the general term “dance fitness”. We have no connection to the studio that used this domain before us; see About.

6. Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Send corrections to [email protected]. Significant corrections are updated in the article itself.
